YFIBIGO National Campaign Platform

Reconstructing Education with African Philosophy

Vision

We believe every Nigerian should be free to develop to their full ability, guided by their cultural identity and supported by a humanizing, accessible, and relevant education system. Our campaign calls for a radical reconstruction of education—one that reflects Nigerian philosophy of life, not foreign models.

“Education must stop producing strangers in their own land. It must produce citizens who understand their culture, value their people, and serve their nation.”

What We Stand For

  • African Philosophy in Education — Root curriculum and educational goals in Ijaw, Fula, Yoruba, Hausa, Tiv, Igbo, and other Nigerian traditions.
  • Free Education for All — Launch a 20-year national scholarship spree, ensuring equal opportunity for every child, youth, and adult.
  • Teachers as Nation Builders — Better pay, quality training, moral leadership, and a professional corps that sets standards.
  • Adult Education and Capital Formation — Education as a birthright for citizens aged 4–63 years.
  • Establishment of a National University — A new apex institution to unify standards, set direction, and anchor national educational progress.
  • Empowerment of Women and Girls — Reconstruct roles, build community strength, and integrate cultural and professional education.
  • Education for National Security & Prosperity — Addressing corruption, insecurity, tribalism, and unemployment at their roots.

why it matters

  • Nigerian education has failed to reflect the people’s identity.
  • Students are molded into Westernized “puppets” disconnected from their roots.
  • Millions are left behind due to poverty, corruption, and lack of guidance.
  • Teachers are underpaid, undervalued, and undertrained.
  • Our national security and prosperity depend on educational reconstruction.
